Seed Library

The Seed Library at the East Rockaway Public Library

SEEDS WILL BE AVAILABLE STARTING 4/1 – We are hoping to establish a Pollinator Highway through our community with your help! If you use these flowering seeds, they will feed the monarchs, and hopefully help boost the monarch population. Pollinators are VERY important to ALL flora and fauna (including us humans) and we can do a very easy job in helping! Plant and tend these seeds without using pesticides or chemicals.

Who can check out seeds? Anyone!

Is there a limit? One of each kind per household

What kinds of seeds are available? We currently have many types of seeds.
All types can be planted and harvested from containers or from the ground!

Zohar Sunflowers
Matt’s Wild Cherry Tomatoes
Genovese Basil
Borage
Lemon Cucumber
Cherokee Purple Tomato
Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias)
Echinacea (Purple coneflower)

How do I check out the seeds?  Go to the circulation desk. They will ask for your name, address and email address!
